Passing on the knowledge culture, traditions, and know how of our discipline is amongst the most noble of professional acts. It is the first tenant of the Hippocratic Oath, and in fact, as we age, the health of our patients, and our own health hinges on its successful completion.
Equally true is the axiom that assessment drives training and learning. This is in fact so fundamentally accepted that in the new Royal College paradigm, Competency by Design, learning is essentially a never ending series of micro evaluations.
This too harkens from antiquity – Socrates taught us that the seeds of curiosity, excellence, and wisdom are planted in the minds of students with a series of well crafted questions.
Our sacred and sobering task is to uncover some of these questions. This site is designed to facilitate that process.
